Yes. The comprehensive eye test at Optic One, Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi is completely free, with no purchase required. You are welcome to take your results with you.
How long does the eye test take?
Around 20 to 30 minutes for a comprehensive test. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, bring them along — it helps us compare your current prescription.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome, but booking ahead is recommended — it lets us confirm the optometrist is available at your time, so your eye test starts when you arrive. Opening hours: Saturday to Thursday 10 AM – 10 PM, Friday 1 PM – 10 PM.
Can children have a free eye test too?
Yes, we test children as well. If you’ve noticed your child squinting, sitting close to screens, or struggling at school, an eye test is a good first step. Mention your child’s age when booking so we can plan the visit.
Can I get contact lenses checked or fitted during the visit?
Yes — tell us in the booking notes or on WhatsApp that you’re interested in contact lenses, and we’ll plan time for it during your visit.
